Revan1: It might be a little late but in case you still have the problem, or someone else, it"s a old problem that is normally fixed by switching the sound or display settings in the config menu. Sorry I am not accurate but I forgot which of the settings cause this crash despite having made the manip a few times before.
Experiment a bit in the config with the display/sound, it shoudn"t take too long to figure out.

I went throught the game again recently but didn"t need to adjust anything this time around, not after following the thread below, if it help.
