Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum started it all, Under A Killing Moon was the first step into the realm of 3D and Pandora Directive is the pinnacle of Tex Murphy's adventures.
It takes everything that made UAKM so great and expands on it. More locations, more puzzles, better quality FMV and overall a longer game. Not only due to the lenght of the story, but also because of the possibility of 3 different moral roads that you can take leading to 6 different endings. TPD also has the most interesting storyline of the games, IMO. It also has many quotable lines ^_^

Well UAKM is still my favorite. Pandora Directive is arguably the best but UFO conspiracies are a pet peave of mine, so I still prefer UAKM plot. The newest game, Tesla Effect, is next, but a tad too easy to be up there with UAKM and Pandora. Overseer was a remake so it can't rate in the top three. Mean Streets still has fond memories for me. Martian Memorandum is good but I have never replayed it all the way through. So ...

UAKM is also my favorite, if for nothing else being my first foray into this wonderful series of games and the great memories of starting and meeting the characters for the first time.

BTW, I have a technical question - why the old topics like this (it has been revived) have blue circles at the beginning? Currently, blue is used only on General Discussion for GOG announcements. Regular topics have green, questions have orange and sticky have red.

Haven't beat TE but so far it is looking like this to me:

I haven't beat Tesla yet either, but this is kind of a tough decision for me. TPD would be my favorite (best story, good controls, etc) but I SERIOUSLY hated the area 51 base alien energy part! Even cheating with a walkthrough made me feel rushed and stressed in that spot. So much that I didnt play it through multiple times to see all the endings.

The graphics (I think) are amazing in Telsa, but so far the story isnt as appealing (could change though) and the controls are my least favorite.

I'll update this after I've been Tesla, but so far I'd go:
