RedSword: Hi again,

it'd be nice to see the requirement when crafting Magic Arms & Armor. I believe I saw them in original gameplay; but for a reason I cannot see them. I tried by both selecting a weapon, not selecting a weapon, and hovering/clicking the bonuses during that selection/absence-of-selection.

Also, whenever I try to craft in that menu I crash. Just try to build the "greatest" weapon possible (i.e. +3 +fire/ice/thunder, +3x2 fire/ice/thunder burst, etc.). I had that problem in vanilla before, and in v745 as well.

Note that I cheated thought in v745 (to get XP & money, as I was looking for the requirements for a certain bonus; I had to do trails-&-errors to find the one).

Ok, with build 772 I added a hook to prevent appending to the item name if the result is greater than 60 characters. This should prevent these crashes. It's also recommended to manually enter a concise name for crafted items :)
Hi,

could there be a problem with co8 random encounters ? I seldom crash upon travelling on the world map. I usually cannot avoid the encounter (I have a survival barbarian). I do remember an encounter were I could avoid a Huge fire elemental, and 3 fire something, that made me crash too though. I do not get any dump from those crashes (nor any recently :/).

I also do ask because my average level is 9 and I remember somewhere in a changelog co8 talking about new level 10-20 encounters (and according to D&D 3.5 rules (Master book), you can meet up to a average-level + 2 group).

The logfile and crashdumps are now located in C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Saved Games\TemplePlus

I'll check your saves when I get the chance, thanks.

Edit: fixed now, thanks for the log.

Hi,

1) I couldn't find any folder in that path. I'll try to note the crash filename if I get lucky and see that msgbox telling the filename (happens maybe 1 crash out of ~7-8).

2) Also, I noticed that it is possible to have negative charisma. According to D&D rules, I should be in a coma-like helpless state. However my barbarian was fighting (against a Groaning Spirit), and could still move after the combat. When triggering the negative charisma, in my scenario, I had Lareth ring of freedom of movement, if it may have changed anything. After removing Lareth's ring, I can keep running, and even zone and start over with running.

If I recall correctly when being put at 0 str, one is usually grounded, helpless, hence me posting here.

I'm also not sure whether or not I should create a github issue about "2)", as it isn't really game-breaking thing; just a not-following-D&D rule thing.

Also, I noticed that my priest can't use restoration-->charisma . I'm note entirely sure if this is a bug however, as I believe some monsters have abilities to sap stats that can't be restored magically (correct me if I'm wrong).

I thought I attached an image earlier but I can't see it so here it is.

1) That's very odd, since that's where it's supposed to save these files... can you do a search for templeplus.log in your c:\users folder?

2) It's ok to post that in the github, especially if it should render characters comatose (does it affect combat actions btw?)

Haha, apparently this is a Vanilla bug with the Restoration spell. It just stopped iterating the stat to be healed at Wisdom instead of Charisma (5 instead of 6). Fixed now.

(also Restoration is in fact supposed to heal permanent stat damage too, unlike Lesser Restoration)

It seems I overlooked the save folder (I really don't know how, as I recall looking at everything starting with "Save", and it wasn't that folder.

Do you have a public discord channel ? I'm wondering if there is a "public" record regarding T+ development (like more actual dev chat, not your release in gog.com/rpgcodex threads); like how you handled the hex stuff, T+ design reasoning; and, if I may ask, T+ code question).
