My operation system is Windows 10 64-bit. And I'm running the game in a windowed mode of 800x600 by adding the -window parameter to the target field of the shortcut for ToEE.exe.

When the game is running, after I use my mouse cursor to interact with other programs and come back to the game window, the game window freezes for 1 second and then crashes. The full screen mode has the same problem after I press Alt + Tab to interact with other programs.

Even the appearing of a system notification, which shifts the focus from the game window to the notification, causes the same crash.

I tried running the game in a compatibility mode, and the issue remains.

well you don't run vanilla. You run Co8 via T+

This GOG version isn't vanilla. It has adopted an old mod.
