the thing keeping me from buying is that i can't get the demo to run..when i try it just goes to the desktop..tried compatibility settings.am running XP with a Gb of ram and a old Nvidia 6200 pci and an inter pentium 4 2.66 ghz..wouldn't run on my last computer either which had a 6800 agp...Is it only a demo problem?

Hard to say for certain, but it could well be just demo related. I've run the game (retail disc version) on Windows XP SP3 with no issues (using both an 8800GT and a GTX 260 card) and recently finished the GOG version (with the Co8 mod v6.0.0) on Win7 Pro 64 bit with no major issues (crashed a couple times, but no real serious problems). The vid card on the Win7 rig is a GTX 275.
