I've been playing SS1 EE for a while now and I've been noticing an annoying behaviour on how the hacker moves.

Usually, I'm hiding behind a wall, lean left/right to show only my head (and gun) and strafe a bit... to start slowly sliding towards the direction I was trying to move, exposing myself to enemy fire. I've noticed that, if I'm standing, the sliding speed is greater that if I'm crouched/on the floor.

Since I noticed that, I've started to notice continuous sliding on my movement. I can just press "W" to move forward for a little bit, and, before the hacer stops, open the email/logs app and start reading something.

There's any way to prevent this? Is a "feature" instead of a bug?
System Shock has these weird movement physics which are bloody awesome from technical standpoint, kinda cool from immersion standpoint, and bloody irritating from gameplay standpoint. Basically, when you move in a direction, you gain momentum and then you take some time to come to a perfect stop. It seems to be worse when leaning and moving in that direction for some reason. So I believe it is a feature, and it's ... Eh.
So, feature then, lol.

I shall keep panting and sliding through Shodan's corridors, then. Thanks for the answer!
