I'm sure this is probably just a simple case of lack of common sense on my part. My problem is that SS1: EE will not start, no matter how many times I double click to start the application. When I double click, I will get no output, no error message will appear either. The classic edition works fine when I run it, but the Enhanced Edition will not even run.

Never mind, guess it was a matter of common sense. It works now.
