I played the game for about 20 mins last night and saved. When I loaded this morning I am all the way back to the beginning of the level? I made it to the upgrade stations but then had to go to bed.

What up with this?

possibly a save corruption - it seems to happen sometimes. make sure you are not running the game from a protected location, and

SAVE

OFTEN.

I didn't install that update SStool yet either maybe there was a bug that it fixed.

I guess not many are having this issue.

using the tool is recommended even if you don't plan to install mods - it will update your game version to 2.42 (current GOG version is 2.4), and the stability fixes and multimonitor support are well worth it, if nothing else.
