I bought the game at last. But i have a problem. My problem lies with its version and the update to this version. I will elaborate.
The OLD INSTALLER version, had been 1.0.0.7. By ways and means, i got it. Mostly because a certain trick that makes the game better works in it. The OLD INSTALLER update, which i also got by ways and means, is 1.0.2.9, and i have no interest in it whatsoever; it removes the good trick.
Then, i tried my purchased version of the NEW INSTALLER. The 2.0.0.10. I did not patch it, but the trick is already removed. I did not apply its patch.
To circumvent this problem, because i really NEED the trick of the old game, i initially thought of installing the old vanilla game version, use the trick until i do not need it anymore, then patch the game all the way to the LAST version. And here lies the problem, because it says it cannot do this; NEEDS the NEW INSTALLER, as the universal patch displays upon execution.
1) Is there any way to patch the old, 1.0.0.7 version on the OLD INSTALLER, all the way to the latest update 2.0.1.11 of the NEW INSTALLER?
2) Or alternatively, can i used somehow a saved game from vanilla 1.0.0.7, into the NEW INSTALLER-fully patched version, after uninstalling vanilla and keeping saved intact?
