Where is the update for GoG? I see the update on Steam and they said the 25th of July. I've been clicking on "Check for update" and still no download starts.
sammyman35,

As you rightly pointed out, you read the notification on Steam and it only applies to this platform. On GOG, updates at least for this game appear even a few days later. Maybe even a week.

It is unfortunately not something that the Studio has much influence over once the updated is "handed over to GOG" (so to speak).

So yes, the GOG update is usually available a bit later than on Steam.

The average delay so far is 3.5 days between steam and GOG.
Studio FOW did miss their release date on steam by 1.5 days, so expect the update on Friday night.

And backup your saves, there are reports about CrashesToDesktop, broken save files and so on after the update.
For the record,

Friday ~15:45 CET and no update available. Not even the changelog was updated.

In general it does not matter who is blaming who.
It is a quality message to the platform users and the quality does not look good.
I'm pretty sure at least one game I followed managed release parity with Steam while in-dev (it's at least three years back or more though, can't remember which one it was). At least for galaxy users - offline installers always took few days as far as I know.

From what I remember, you as a dev have choice to send files to gog for processing, which takes time. Or use different api/management tool where you publish to Galaxy users almost online. Maybe it was about using beta channels in galaxy... Obviously I'm not a dev, there is a lot I don't know or which could have broken since then. Or adult games just don't get access to the fast-track tool, GOG may just want to keep a track of what is going on.

(just commenting, it's not like waiting few days will kill me. The game is far from finished, I'll have to wait few months anyway after this patch comes here).
Saturday, 2022-07-30 02:08 CEST - update is available.

Maybe via Galaxy, Offline Installers are still at 0.4.5 Saturday 11:11 CET.
Sunday ~10:00 CET
Offline installers are at 0.4.5 Changelog lists the entry of 02th June which correlates with 0.4.5.

Apparently there is really some gog employee packing offline-installers manually via Inno-Setup and therefore nothing happens on non-workdays.
Offline Installers are at 0.5.0 , happened between Monday 7:00 CET and 14:00 CET.

So statistically we are now at 1 week delay between Steam and GOG.
