Update (Aug 2017) Never received a reply from the developers, however the recently released Sublevel Zero Redux is (so far) running properly on my WinXP system.
----------------------------------------------------------
Sublevel Zero version 1.1 ran fine on my still working fine Windows XP machine (SP3). But after installing version 1.2 from GOG I get the following error when trying to launch the game, 'SublevelZero is not a valid Win32 application'
Tried to email the developers (over a month ago) but no reply. It would have been fine to reinstall version 1.1 but that is no longer available on the game's download page.
At this point I'm just wondering if it's something about my setup or if version 1.2 really does not run under Windows XP.
Oh and there's a tech support article that mentions something about using the /nogui parameter but none of my attempts at using this parameter with the launcher shortcuts produced any result (and the article isn't very clear).
