IGZones (International Gaming Zones) is a service that i usually use for AoE, but now its also compatible with SH:crusader, so for those of you that like crusader multiplay check it out.
im sure it wont be as full as the AoE ones but it can probably be arranged in the forums.
(and i dont know of any other service like this, that has crusader).
cheers.

If you have a read of Stronghold Knights and Stronghold Heaven, you'll see that everyone uses GameRanger to play Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader (and even Stronghold Crusader Extreme). There are a few Russian and French communities that also use it.
GameRanger doesn't have the problems associated with IGZ, and is easier to use.
thanks for the heads up, i was really not aware!
cheers
edit: so... your a GameRanger rep right? thanks for the info anyways!

Uh, GameRanger? Unless this happened quite recently, at least at SHK we've always used GameSpy, as you can see from the ladders - its quite popular. Not that I play MP, since my net sucks. :0

Relatively recent, yes. November 2008. One of the reasons people switched from GameSpy was that GameRanger automatically handles the router problems which used to plague people connecting to Stronghold games.
Port forwarding and such? Nice fix, then. I'll look for it, but I'm pretty awful at RTS games.
