So I was thinking of getting the GOG version of stronghold crusader.

Before I finalize my decision though- I wanted to ask a few questions:

1. The features listed on the game's page says the GOG version comes with the bonus AIs that were made available for the game (Bonus characters). Does this include the 4 Warchest-only AIs- or is it just the 3 standalone ones available on Firefly's website?

2. Anyone have issues with the multiplayer? I'll be fine if I just install this for both machines on a LAN- right? (Both have XP- though one might soon be replaced by a new computer with Windows 7)

Thanks. :)
Like many other classics, Stronghold Crusader uses DirectPlay for networking, which does often cause headaches with connections on LAN or online.

If you do have problems, just use GameRanger. There are thousands of SHC games played there each day. Although primarily designed for online play, it will solve the LAN issues as well.
