Every time I click on the multiplayer button in the combat menu, the game freezes up. I just downloaded this 2 nights ago and haven't done much in it. It worked once, but hasn't worked since.

Use GameRanger, it's the best option for multiplayer.

I think the game is pretty much dead online, but I'm not sure. It could be gamespy being a pain the arse, but who knows right?

You can probably also use Hamachi to play with a bud over a "emulated" LAN network.

Yeah, Gameranger would probably be your best bet.

I'm getting this too. I don't need GameRanger in order to find games to play on, I need the game to work without crashing.

Anyone know why?
GameRanger uses a different launching mechanism and does not go through the same menu sequence that you would if you were connecting manually.
