thought people should know, this caused quite a bit of confusion yesterday night when i was trying to play with some people. im the only one with the GoG version, they all have steam.
after figuring out that my version was newer even though we were both updated, it turned out that the GoG version thats kept up-to-date through Galaxy (stable branch) is newer than the Stable branch for Steam.
in order to play together, people on steam need to turn on the beta version to update to the new version.
on top of this, in the new version, if you hover over your own ships and some stations it labels them as 'Alien Vessels'. the people im playing with confirmed this is not supposed to be.
