sputax: It appears this game has some requirements that seem prohibitive to me. Having to download steam or GOG galaxy. Having to register a paradox account in order to play the game. Can the game run without both of these?
You can download offline installers and play with no client whatsoever. Single player is perfectly playable on its own.
Paradox account is needed for online features (multiplayer, achievements, cloud saves)

Alexim: I have come precisely to ask this, the game for now doesn't support achievements and cloud saves, they will be added shortly?
Both are handled by Paradox account system and are accessible in-game.
