I'm using a laptop running Windows 10 with Intel HD Graphics card. I have tried compatibility mode, running as administrator, but every time I launch the game, it always goes into its default smaller resolution with a black screen with my cursor swirling on it, as if it's loading. I have to use Ctrl-Alt-Delete to close the program, but when I do the screen just stays black in that smaller resolution, as if the program itself isn't the source of the black screen and wasn't even running at all! HELP ME!!!

Did you try running the game before setting a compatibility mode?

Admittedly I'm using Win 7, but Starship Titanic just ran without any tweaks to compatibility etc. The only thing my computer automatically does, is to change the colour scheme to Basic as soon as I left click on the icon to load the game.

According to the GOG info on the sales screen, ST should run on Win 10 without any difficulty. If you continue to encounter problems I'd first re-install the game, then if that doesn't re-set the game to run normally on Win 10 as Win 10 stands, I'd contact GOG support.
I did try running it normally first and encountered the same problem.
Same boat here with Win 7Pro 64-bit. After the color and resolution change I get a black screen with a yellow pointer arrow. No response whatsoever, no audio. C-A-D to get out and the Task Manager also says Not Responding. I've tried this in Compat mode=XPsp3, and also in full Win7 mode (i.e., no compat).

I'm wondering about DX level.
