There isn't much to say really, the game worked fine before the the last patch, now with the DLC installed it constantly crashes, 5 times in less then 8 hours of play, while before it may have crashed once

Plus Cloaking stability is still NOT working, also the Rift special ability of the engineer doesn't activate at least 60% of the times, it just shoot some sort of projectile and then nothing happen

This last 2 bugs are present since i had the game, i see a DLC but still no fix........


Does anyone has similar problems? Possible known fix?



I am not using any mods beside new enchantments made by me + 1 new light turret type, the DLC doesn't seems to add any new ench. so i would exclude a possible conflict there


When i loaded the game after installing the DLC my modded Light Turret wasn't working properly any more, and i properly added it to the DLC "Light Weapons" file, instead of shooting a beam like it should, it became a sort of default plasma turret, i had to override both the ID i was using and the ID before to make it work:

My Turret ID was is now 125, but to make it work i had to copy the same line even on ID 124, normally empty, otherwise the "projectile data" parameters is ignored and it shoot the projectile set for light weapon 124 instead...?

Before installing the DLC i was simply using ID 101 and it worked fine



A few extra question about the game:

-If i mod the game with the DLC installed, should i use the DLC files to override the base ones in my mods?

Seems logical by not sure it would cause conflicts with someone who doesn't have it

-Would the game still work properly without the base data overridden buy the DLC files? If for example i move the ship files from the DLC folder to the base folder of the dafault game with all the models and such will everything still work? It isn't what exactly happen if i activate a mod that a a new ship to the game?

Given i had no intentions to remove the DLC seems more practical reading only 1 file instead of keeping 2

-The modding tools are now loading without asking for steam dll, but sometimes the "MaterialEditor" stop responding. It's a know bug on steam too?
Small Update

After i crazily moved all DLC files into the respective base game folder, the game never crashed again

Curiously i had to use even the ID weapon AFTER the one i used for light weapons now

So not only to make a light weapon ID 125 work i also had to copy the string on 124, now i had to do it even for 126, work perfectly now tough

Eager to hear something from LGM bout this

Not say i have necessary did everything perfectly....but never had any problem before the DLC
I forwarded this to our programming guru, someone will answer you more precise in a few days when they come back.
