Hi,

I first encountered the issue on my "new" machine (I4790, nv980,4K Disp). Since i encounters gaming issued with that config before (e.g. mouse cursor in titan quest), I installed it on my old AMD machine, 1090X6, 6700 ATI)

In both configs, nothing happens when I start the game...

Any advice ?

You probably need XNA 4.0 libraries, as the developers stated in Steam forums. Download them from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=20914
Also, you need DirectX 9.0c libraries (but I guess you have it already).

I forgot about that problem. Yeah it isn't packaged with all of the dependencies. Bad move I think since not everyone will be able to resolve it themselves.

Might be better if you post in the official forum, and/or sending email to gog staff.
Chucklefish forum and SV reddit receive much more participation, so you have higher chances of solving any problem you have in the game.
I hope Foolben suggestion works for you, but if not, contacting support should be your priority (there's a giant link in this page, CONTACT US you can't miss it). Unless we are not talking about gog version, which would be odd.
