Like many people, my game crashes when started from GOG galaxy, but runs fine directly from the executable. Others seem to have this issue as well.

I just wanted to put it out there that disabling the in-game overlay fixed this issue for me. It seems like the Galaxy overlay is incompatible with this game. You can find this option under "Manage Installation" > "Configure..."
