Hi

I'm trying to play X-Wing Alliance on my Mac running Parallels with a virtual Windows XP machine.

This works perfectly for both X-Wing and TIE Fighter, but not for X-Wing Alliance.

The game runs, but when you start a mission I just get a field of stars with no graphics. If I turn Hardware Acceleration off, I get what looks to be the correct graphics, but all shaded purple/pink and squashed onto one half of the screen.

Obviously it's a video driver/memory problem or something? But I'm wondering if anyone else has had any luck working out how to get it to work?

Like I said, the other games in the series play perfectly, so I'm hoping there is a way to get Alliance going too. It's an all time favourite.

Any help would be great!

I am also using Parallels to play my Lucasarts games. I can't probably help with XP, but I can tell you it runs great under Windows 7. Maybe you could create a new VM with Windows 7? Bet that might work.
Well it runs fine in wineskin.

May need to use the crossover engine I linked there, but you can play it on a mac.
