Been enjoying X-Wing, decided to move on to TIE Fighter (1994 version).
Now, in a lot of ways, TIE Fighter is an improvement... but I'm having troubles with the sound. It works fine outside of combat, in briefings, in cutscenes... but during actual combat, it begins to stutter, turning into a garbled mess.
I've tried messing with the DOSBox settings, but no result so far. Any suggestions?

Graphics are smooth.
I've raised cycles to 20,000 before I even launched the game, since I had problems with choppy graphics on X-Wing before I did that. Changing cycles on TIE Fighter doesn't seem to help audio.
I have the same issue with X-Wing. The cut scenes play fine, as well as the in-game music. However, all sound effects during game play are stuttered and slowed down. (There is no visual delay; graphics are smooth.)

Sorry if this is a dead thread - the solution is to set the sound card to Soundblaster 16 and NOT SoundblasterPro in the game's setup options.
