Does anyone have any idea what a backbuffer is? I just installed XWA on a completely new machine running 8.1 and it's giving me a strange error that says something like: DeviceSources::Retrieve BackBuffer, stating the parameter is incorrect. The game starts fine, runs movies, clicks on things normally, this happens when I try to actually start a mission.

I know what it is, but it's fairly irrelevant.
More relevant is that it likely indicates a real bug in the ddraw wrapper, and I believe I fixed it in my version of it a while ago, get it here: https://github.com/rdoeffinger/xwa_ddraw_d3d11/releases (it's basically the same thing as what GoG used/includes, but with a bunch of extra features and bug fixes I added on top).
