Dear GoG Community :-)

I was looking for a wishlist entry for SW: Squadrons the other day and did indeed find one, with the numble number of 10 votes.

Why on earth is this not voted higher?

By all accounts and previews, this is an actual, proper and demanding flight simulator and might indeed revive the good old X-Wing and Tie-Fighter Games.
Not a service game, not an arcady battlefront, no ingame-shop and it even comes with bots so one can play the muliplayer without other people. A game made for a specific niche audience.

We need this on GoG. Ideally, at launch!

May I all direct you to the aforementioned wishlist entry now?

NOTE: To my surprise, there is a specific sub-forum for TIeFighter - Special Edition. As such, this is a duplicate thread since I originally posted this in the main X-Wing Series forum. Still, to maximize the chance of someone seeing it, I have decided to post it here again. My first semi-spam post in this forum, will not happen again.
EA loves their DRM, they would never trust to launch a new game DRM-free.

Pretty much this; there is absolutely no chance that EA would launch a high profile title like this on a DRM free platform, from day 1

...and probably there are also very few chances it will ever come, honestly, unless a) it bombs spectacularly, which I hope it's not the case, or b) it becomes really old and they don't care anymore

While I agree, I think we will never convince publishers to commit to a DRM-free world if we stop trying.
