I hit Play in gog Galaxy, and I get Tie95.exe has stopped working, instantly. And I get around 10 seconds where I cannot move the cursor out of a tiny box in the upper left corner of my screen.
Then I get the Windows prompt to close the program or check for a solution.

I am running this in Windows 7 64bit Pro, patched, Intel X79, NVidia GeForce 980 SLI ( work in the industry, hence the cards).

Any suggestions?

Has ANYONE seen this yet?

I haven't seen one crash that hard from gog before that had really no error, just dying like that.

Anything?
I have the exact same problem, but on a win10 machine. It did work a long when I installed it though, because i finished the standard campaign.

No, the installer wont work either. I guess I need to test it in GOG Galaxy too.
i enver figuredd out why it started playing, as I never did anything different.

Today, I had a chance to get my new joystick, recommended on this forum, a Thrustmaster 16000, and I get the same error. I launch in GOG Galaxy, and I get a black screen, in 5-10 seconds, my ym mouse cursor shows up as the bluegreen circle, typical W7 when it is thinking about something. Then I get the Tie95.exe has stopped working popup.

Only differences since my originaol post is joystick, and video cards, GeForce 1080TI (worked in the industry, so lots of free or nearly free upgrades) and it had worked with my 1080's just fine a few months back.

Any suggestions?
Have you tried disabling the galaxy overlay?

Just rebooted and same thing, hear about 1/2 second of music and it locks up.

Not sure what the overlay is or where to disable it, so no I have not.
Just disabled it, I get about 2 seconds of background music then lockup, same as before.

Will the verify and repair toast my save games?

So i had to turn off GOG Overlay, and, NVidia Overlay as well, which used to be called NVidia Share.

Now to test my new Thurstmaster.

Thanks for the feedback!
