I recently bought Rebellion, delighted to see it on here. I, probably an old story now, got Rebed, my old favorite cards and installed Rebellion. Get everything up and running and find that Rebed tells me that I need the CD to see pictures and a full install to basically do any adding. I don't have the CD, obviously, because I just bought it here.

Is there a way to do a "complete" install using GOG? Also, does anybody know exactly what files Rebed uses on the disk that may or may not be in the game directory?

I'd really like to play my game with a Dash Rendar, Rohm Kota and a few others in it, but currently am stuck. If anyone has ideas to the above questions, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks for any time or effort spent on thinking on these things!

Someone will have to rewrite the Rebel Ed program to recognize the GOG install ,and the website that hosted it has been down for months. Only hope is some fan will rewrite the Rebel Ed program to work with the GOG version.
even using the cd doesn't work. i guess it's a problem with using rebed on win 7 or higher. oh well.
if you have the cd version, you can get it and Rebed to work by installing XP in a "Virtual Machine" for windows 7 (Get it from microsoft). Don't have windows 8 so im not sure if there is an equivalent for that operating system

However if an answer to this could be found, i would much rather not have to fiddle around with some stupid trick just to get a modded version of the game to work.

Hey everyone I have seen alot about the issue of REBED call an full install error and not working and found that when using the download or copy paste process described everywhere to get Rebellion to work on Vista or newer OS's lacks the registry entries listed on this link http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Rebellion I will be testing this this weekend and let you all know if this is the case. The VM is a good option and looking at that is a good option specially if you are not comfortable with regedit. Be aware the Rebellion engine has a poly limit so if you mod with high poly models it will crash learned that the hard way :(
Ah, so with the VM, then, you obviously can't use GOG Rebellion, right? I kind of sucked it up and started playing anyways. I tried VM once, but couldn't get my XP password to work and it locked me out.

Also, I noticed that all the encyclopedia entries tend to not show up.
I've posted the correct steps you need to take to make RebEd load cards. Can't link you to it, but it shouldn't be hard to find.
