Just discovered GOG and I'm ecstatic that I can play Star Wars Rebellion on windows 7 and 10. Installed on W7 last night, right clicked desktop to open graphics properties, changed to 800x600 resolution, and set scaling as maintain aspect ratio. All gameplay looks clear (as clear as the original disk, ha) and is fully functional. I haven't experieced any glitches or crashes yet. Great community GOG, thank you so much for reviving this classic game. I'm also so happy that swrebellion.com is back up and running and RebEd will also work on more recent versions of windows. I'm so looking forward to endless hours of gameplay and modding the game after a long time, long time away. Looks like the next couple months will be fantastic, new movie, limited edition PS4 pro with deluxe edition of Battlefront, and Rebellion... Happy Star Wars Holidays everybody!!!!!!
Welcome to GoG and welcome back to SWR! Awesome game that that was quite a jewel and often overlooked in the past. Just started playing again myself today after many year funny that I run into someone on the forum that also just got back into it today. I was wondering if you would care to go Head-to-Head sometime? Have you ever played this game against a person? Ive only played against people. Have a cool project in mind recreating this game open source style beginning with the basics coding in LUA. Would love to see this game in more modern like graphics(ofc not AAA graphics lol) with added new content which I am still fleshing out the ideas for. Im an whiz at graphics more so than coding but not bad at coding and have been needing a serious project to hone my programming skills more. If you are interested or anyone else that comes across this I am looking for one person to collaborate on working on this project for a while and also dont mind getting anyone up to speed on coding or graphics if necessary. I say one person because I doubt that I will find more than one person willing to do so! I love challenges like this tho and also the creativity and brining something to life from the thoughts in my mind. There has been two open source attempts but neither seem to have really tried to make it happen and abandoned the project shortly thereafter the birth of the projects. Anyhow would love a game sometime if your up for it! :)
on the head-to-head yes I have but the challenge I like to play is a time limit because each person plays the same save

for example this is the one i played last (and lost)
the rules;
download the save game and place into your game save folder... it takes up slot 6 (the bottom one)
watch the briefing vimeo to get the layout of the galaxy i.e, where is Vader etc

play the game, defeat the rebel scum and do it in less days than anyone else needs to win... the winner picks the next game settings

game save = ormaline.businesscatalyst.com/assets/savegame.006

I did it in 678 days if you want to have a go at betting my score

I did it in 268 days. The HQ is in the southwest. Try a human opponent. For tips on how you can improve your game, check out www.youtube.com/c/PraetorPyro.
