Hello I've noticed an issue with the GoG edition of Galactic Battlegrounds when playing the original campaigns. The missions have seemed too easy or they've always been like that some have said, but there is an actual problem this version of the game runs both the original game and the expansion at the same time. This becomes an issue when an AI faction in the base campaigns reaches Tech Level Four since they now have access to units they were not originally meant to have. So instead of building new units they will use all of their initial units and simply sit there once they're all dead. This was never an issue in the original Saga Edition of the game since we just switched CDs otherwise we were not allowed to play the base/CC campaigns, the prompt for you must put that CD in to play and such.

There is an easy solution if you don't mind having a very tiny resolution, if you can't get it fixed that is, simply use the original exe for the game found in the 'Game' folder it is the "Battlegrounds" Darth Vader head, not the one with the blue border.

The easiest way to check if the base campaign AI is working correctly is using the Avatar Orbital Platform mission. The regular startup of the GoG version will have no enemy units come after your wookiee strikeforce making the mission extremely easy, but if the original exe is used the Imperial AI should be working correctly and enemy units should be sent at you almost immediately.

I'm not sure if someone has noticed this before me and I am sorry if this topic is taking up space if it was but I noticed a lot of people saying the missions did not feel right and they remembered things differently. I had the same notion when playing through the campaigns so I tried to see what I could do to fix it.
