Goodaltgamer: Ok, just downloaded CAW, you are aware that this is only a mod for skirmish and not for Galactic conquest?

If you know never mind ;)

This one requires a bit of work from your side ;)

You need to have a mod folder existing, so it should look like:

D:\GOGGames\Star Wars - Empire At War Gold\EAWX\Mods
afterwards you extract caw into mods, if you have 7zip installed, double click and just left drag CAV into the mod folder (meaning having an explorer open with the above mentioned patch)

Afterwards (when finished ;) ) go to D:\GOGGames\Star Wars - Empire At War Gold\EAWX

right click and select: create new file (or better, if you already see a bat-file copy it)
afterwards right click edit

replace what is standing in this COPY/NEW file with:

swfoc LANGUAGE=ENGLISH MODPATH=Mods\CaW

save and run, no not run away ;)

If you want to play in another language, select German/French and IIRC Spanish, BUT the mod MUST support it!!!

For Zerox, shall be the same principle....just alter the path and it shall be fine.....

What is strange I did use this side already.....???? O-)
coading was never my forte, and im sorry to bump. but i could youse this same pathing for EAW-Remake?
swfoc LANGUAGE=ENGLISH MODPATH=Mods\EAW-Remake

my biggest problem with eaw remake is they talk about a 4gb patch that isent in the zip, and the .bat file isent in there so you do half to know coding to even know to creat one lol

Goodaltgamer already explained everything, including info about OS Windows bat files, that normally must be googled. Bat files it just a command prompt. Command prompt stored in "text" file.
Isn't 2 bat files already existed in game folder in GOGDownloader (offline) version, that used to start game/addon with specific language? U can make a copy of one of them.
