I was wondering, I just installed SFC III, and I jumped in to look around. The vessel library does not have any hull outlines associated. Anyone having this issue? What is the fix for this?

Same here (also in the in-game refit screen)
It doesn't break the game, but it's a huge annoyance.
Have you managed to solve this issue?

I'm having the same problem. I tried DGVoodoo and messed around with the settings in the built in Direct X app that came with the game and I too am missing the schematic hull in the ship library and my tactical display. My ships also vanishes during warp.

To solve this issue you have to set your NVIDIA graphics card as preferred gpu for SFC3.exe. Every hull outline should be visible again. In the vessel library as well as in game.

Tested with an Notebook RTX3080.

Nevertheless my 3d ships are still getting invisible during warp speed.
Apparently the code hates integrated Intel cards. If you force the game to use the onboard NVIDIA graphics card in the NVIDIA control panel, it should fix the problem. I just tested it on my computer and forcing the use of the NVIDIA card made the images appear. I would assume it to be the same for AMD systems, too.

EDIT: I didn't see the above post that said the same thing. Oops. XD
