Tried fresh installing both copies. All drivers are updated and my rig is far from a potatoe. Then tried downloading another game like dungeon keeper 2 and it ran like a champ. Dont think GOG has the settings all set for the various rigs trying to play this yet.
Same here.
did you install them both at the same time with Galaxy ? another person posted that it is needed to install them alone and wait unitl the install is finished
I'm the same. I've tried only installing STA:1, verify and repair, installed 1.3 patch and it doesn't even boot to menu, just goes unresponsive.

i7-11800
RTX 3060
32Gb RAM
Win 11

Doesn't matter if running from GPU or integrated graphics, DX9 updated, tried installing from offline installer. All failed to run.

Ahhh I've figured it out.

My fix was to run the application "dxcfg" in the install folder and set picture mode to "windowed" and it now seems to boot ok, at least to the menu screen anyway!

This is how I got it to work on Win10:
1) In the local game directory open dxcfg.exe and set the following: Display mode: Set by application, Presentation: Fullscreen.
2) In the same directory right click Armada.exe and click on Properties. Under the compatibility tab deactivate fullscreen optimizations.
3) Start Armada.exe and increase resolution to your needs in the options. Enjoy!

Remark: I uninstalled Armada 2 and completely reinstalled Armada 1. Not sure if this is relevant.

Hope it helps!
