Hi, These games are listed separately for download, and the starmaps and soundtracks seem to be the same for each game. Are they common to both games, so the soundtrack will work for both games?

There isn't really a soundtrack or starmap of any kind for Star Control 1. Those files are for/from Star Control 2.
