SpellForce Savegame Converter/Patcher

The “SpellForce Savegame Converter/Patcher” is a tool to edit/patch savegames of SpellForce PlatiniumEdition, to different versions and make them compatible to play on the desired version.
“SpellForce Savegame Converter/Patcher” is develop for Microsoft Windows 7.1 up to 11. The complete development is a fan project and is not related to the official game developers of SpellForce Platinium Edition. Made by NeoX and IT-Huskys have no connection to THQNordic.
How to convert/patch savegames
1. Select the savegame you want to convert/patch
Select the savegame you want to convert/patch to an other version of the game. The default location of your SpellForce savegames is “C:\Users\user_name\Documents\SpellForce\SAVE”.
2. Set the version the selected savegame has to be converted/patched to
Please play attention to the version you want it to patch to. For example the german version of SpellForce Platinum Edition is 1.52 and not 1.54 even when its normally advertised as that. Check your in game version first to be sure.
3. Convert/patch the savegame
In the conversion/patch process a backup of the loaded in savegame will be automatically created next to the original source file in case of bad configuration or process issues.
The Backup file can simply be used again by removing the “_backup” addition in the file name.
4. Enjoy the new converted/patched savegame
When the conversion/patch process is finished, you will be greeted with this message. Simply close the app when you are done now. In case of an error, please reach out to the forum for deeper error analyses. (index.php )
3.2 What version of Savegames are supported for conversion/patching
The SpellForce Savegame Converter/Patcher Tool does support the following game versions:
1.50 (Retail)
1.52 (Retail, Steam, GoG)
1.54 (Retail, Steam, GoG)
1.61 (Steam, GoG)
The SpellForce Savegame Converter/Patcher Tool is a Fan-Project and will always be worked on as long the Community has need for it.

Having problems switching versions of SpellForce Platinium and losing savegames to specific versions? Well not anymore!
We created a little tool for you that let you patch your savegames to the version you desire. no longer do you need to play on buggy 1.61 Steam or gog because of progress there, just patch your savegames down to 1.52 or 1.54 and enjoy your progress again on the classic good version!
