:( my hero is skilled in bows and heavy swords, but it's a pain in the arse to swap his equipment out as the enemy draws near since he dual wields and I think I can usually pop off one more shot if I wait for it.. Any tips to make things happen a little easier? I don't want to pause the game, I'm trying to reduce keystroke.. besides that, I wouldn't even enjoy western RPG's if they were any slower! haha!

I'm afraid it's not gonna happen :)
There aren't any slots reserved to store 2 pairs of weapons.
I suffered the same problem using a bow and when getting swamped i needed to gear up both dragon tooth daggers. Quite some hassle but it worked like a charm.
