Are the conversations with text/subtitles or over PC speaker only? English is not my nativ language, and reading is lot easier for me than listening.

There are no voices in Space Quest V, so it's only text in that one. Space Quest VI has both voices and text, and in Space Quest IV you can choose either voices or text, so you can't have both at the same time.

The fanmade patch allows both to be selected at once.
