I'm having problems on the level (7) "Heat!"

I can't seem to get Dean and Candy to become "special friends", I've tried multiple times, restarting the campaign to get a better base layout etc but no matter what nothing works.

I get both their bars green and get them very friendly, suggest they become better friend via all options with as much as 90% success chance using both Candy and Dean as the initial character and still nothing.
Also, for example, I get Dean to suggest they go for a drink (90%) and Candy will say "sure" but then they will just part ways ....

anyone got any help with this?

Removed their jobs when I was trying it, seems maybe I'm just being unlucky in my trials haha, I shall try again and hope for the best, thanks.

Yeah, it's just a matter of trying and trying unitll it eventually works.

Don't forget to give them their jobs back once the courtship is over ;)

Right, if it's the final objective it doesn't matter.

But keep it in mind just the same, there are more missions with 'special friends' objectives ;)

Hmmm not sure what the problem is still, i've done everything I can think of and everything that has been suggested but they just don't want to take their relationship any further than friends.

Thanks alot for your help but think I'm about to give up on the story and just do the freeplay.

gave it one last shot and lone behold I got it NO PROBLEM! lol, I didn't do anything different but for whatever reason it all clicked, thanks for the advice on this.

Lets face it; unless candy was extremely good at... well, you know... extra curricular activities, I wouldn't touch her with a ten foot pole either. I totally get Dean's apprehension. That being said however, I guess it gets lonely out in space....
