I have the old CD version of this game.
And it works fine on my Windows 7 32 (I have not tested it on 64 bits yet).

My sugestions are the following :

There are 2 main ways of playing this game : Direct X 6 and Drect X 7.

Normally, when launching, there's a small dialog box asking for this.

If you choose Direct X 6, the graphics won't be very nice but the game will work easily.
If you choose Direct X 7, you may encounter random crashes during the game.
I have an X-Fi sound card with Creative Alchemy and when I add this game to Creative Alchemy the crashes stop.
There's a sound issue in Direct X 7 mode (I think it uses EAX).
It would be interresting to get an equivallent of Creative Alchemy for the other sound cards under vista, 7, 8...

Else try the Direct X 6 mode.
