One thing I've always felt RPGs lack is diversity in the cast of characters. Take Final Fantasy XII for an example. After Final Fantasy Tactic's Nu Mou and Bangaa, you end up with basically five Humes and a flippin' Playboy bunny.

I see one of the silhouettes for characters in the screenshots is a robot, and I can't tell if the various creatures in the marquee image are just antagonists or not. The features boast a wide cast of characters, and I'm hoping that there'll be enough diversity in the cast to merit that, and enough fantasy elements in those characters to enrich the experience of playing a video game.

Thanks for your time.

It looks like there's plenty of different characters...as for what races/species they are, that's gona be awhile as people advance in the game and unlock/find more of the available party members. The game is fun...if you like dungeon crawlers like Wizardry/Etrian Odyssey...the base gameplay loop is similar to that, only instead of dungeons it's archipelligos and you explore them in a talking airship.
