Felt a bit nostalgic today after seeing SOF was on sale, and so I purchased and installed it without delay. Upon installing SOF, I gleefully hit play only for nothing to happen. No worries, go into the actual folder and try to launch it straight from the source...no dice, try downloading and installing SOF Plus, again no luck. Doesn't even try to actually launch. I've deleted it, reinstalled it, played with compatibility modes, sacrificed woodland animals, cursed at it, pleaded, said life-affirming platitudes in a low and soothing voice...so at this point, I'll try anything but sobriety.

WIN 10 Update from last year broke the game. Some people here said moving the game's files to other directory or make a copy of SoF.exe in the same folder and run that exe works.

Many thanks. Running, now I just have to figure out how to get the FOV in SOF Plus tweaked so I can run it in widescreen.
