Hi!

I was wondering which of the SNK fighting games on GOG have rollback netcode and support crossplay with Steam. I'm assuming that with just GOG users there won't be enough players to just go online and find a match, but please correct me if I'm wrong!
As far as I know Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Samurai Shodown V Special, Last Blade 2 and King of Fighters '98 UM have rollback netcode here. I say "as far as I know" because, though I own three of them in GOG, so far it's been impossible to find any matches as none supports crossplay with Steam and the GOG pool of players seems to be minuscule, if there's any at all. Fightcade has a pretty active scene though.

EDIT: Alright, I had the chance to compare the games I mentioned with the Steam versions, and the results are that Garou, SamSho5S and LB2 do have rollback netcode in GOG, whereas KOF'98 UM FE does not (last updated in 2018, while the rollback update was introduced to Steam in 2021) because we are second class customers and all that.

So, for anyone that might come across this topic, among the ports by Code Mystics:

Garou: Mark of the Wolves
Samurai Shodown 5 Special
The Last Blade 2
do have rollback netcode in GOG.

King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match FInal Edition
does not have rollback netcode in GOG.

As for KOF '02 UM it's wot to have it in Steam since 2020, but I know not what its status is in GOG.

Regardless, I insist in my previous point that GOG players can only match againt GOG players, and so far I have been unable to find any matches in any of these games, so anyone interested in the multiplayer aspect should probably be looking elsewhere.

I only now remembered to check back here! Thank you for taking the time to answer!

The lack of crossplay is really unfortunate.
