After exploring a planet, I could not get back to my ship, because both buttons were grayed out.

Got the same issue on that very planet. Alt+F4 got me out of this jam.

I had this message 2 times at this planet with a normal "continue"-button, so it should be a bug.

You should send the screenshot to "Lars Bauer's" GOG-Account.
