Do you know of any mods for the game?I find the game laking in some aspects. I find it ridiculous that you only have a half a dozen portraits. Also, I would like to see more events on planets.

Smugglers has never had any mods. Yet I am sure we can talk to the maker and have his input as he views the boards often enough.

I had a mod tool for Smugglers 2, however the problem is that you need a very high user base to make this work. I believe that the resources needed to make the game mod-able are better used to add more features.

Not sure if you can add your own, but you can replace them. It's several pictures though. You need a different picture for 20 years, 35 years, 50 years, 70 years (or 75 years? Both?) and 150 years. The large originals are 215px by 201px in the game folder, e.g. .\gog\Smugglers V\hero4_20y.jpg. Looks like you then should scale it down to 88px by 80px, hero4_20y_sm.jpg, and 65px by 69px, hero4_20y_sm2.jpg, for each of the different ages.
