KrisViking: Hello. I thought I'd start a topic about little moments in the game that we've felt were cool, unusual, funny or perhaps little "YES!" moments of just managing to survive or trick the robots.

I guess I shall go first... I was in a field sneaking and needed to get past a robot in one of those search balloons. I put down an alarm clock, set to 20 seconds, where I was then moved around and hugged the edge of a hedge and when that clock went off he looked in that direction and I managed to sneak past him. It felt like a small triumph even though it wasn't a big deal.

micktiegs_8: I swear these robots have inside arguments with one another because I heard distant gunshots myself. I whipped out the binoculars and saw three bots against one. Of course the bot on his own was the only casualty of the skirmish, and of course his gun was broken when I went to 'acquire' it :(

I have a war story that lead to my demise though. In my search I came across two bots patrolling a fragment. There was a forest nearby so I thought flashing a light at them would split them up, it worked somewhat but then I realised I had no weapon still. Looting the nearby houses provided me with a hatchet after hours of torture beforehand. To test out my new found sharp-thing I proceeded to sneak up on a loner in a field. Getting close he heard my footsteps, swinging around with shotgun at my face he fires in panic and somehow misses! Hacking him to bits provided me with raw meat and a broken shotgun :(
Out of desperation I went back to the fragment and threw a lucky glass of wine nearby, alerting them. (oh I forgot to mention they had a dog with them too!). I ran around to the fragment only to hear an alerted beep so I bolted for dear life into the forest. (for some reason, a bot was crouching down, facing a tree as I ran past him... grinding gears maybe?)
Once I gave them the slip, the boat was in sight! But to my f-ing fright a scarecrow jumps up behind me saying BEHIND YOU. Oh my word he just wouldn't piss off and my position was compromised. Two gentlemen ran to the sound of Mr. Scarecrow screaming at me as I crouched in the field. As I ran to one, he fires at point black and actually hits me! The nerve! My health at 45 and bleeding, I manage to kill them both without further drama. Quickly patching the wound while trying to flee further, the bastard is still following me so I turn to him and hack away. Turns out he just screams OW, OW! At this point I'm extremely frustrated as my time on this island was nearly 2 hours and the only save point was the boat. It seems someone heard the screams further and this time they were on floating horseback. I whipped out the shotgun I pilfered from moments ago, firing from the hip once completely misses! I aim down the sight and land the second, and last shot I had. Horsey bot then proceeded to trample the shit out of me.... THE END.
