If you visit the Big Robot site you will see there is still Plenty more to come in this game the devs are always tweaking and are well aware of some common problems.
I have owned this game about 7 months and the devs have always met their commitments plus are always willing to discuss things with players not only problems but, players like dislikes and suggestions.
All upgrades will be patches not DLC's especially paid ones.
They are currently working on an anomaly where you may be seen in heavily wooded areas but, not in long grass this is apparently a big fix but they have promised to deal with it and so far the devs have never let their players down.
There is also a free game on the site that one of the devs made just for fun.
This is not a multimillion dollar set up just 3 British guys who enjoy what they do and want to do it to the best of their ability.
So far they have met their commitments as promised and maintained their intergrity on how the game should be. I am glad I purchased this game and waited excitedly for the monthly updates.
It seems that some people want this game to be what it isn't but, no game appeals to everyone.
I think that sounds good to me. I waited for the release, but I have been raring to go for ages now. I mean a stealth game in which you are hunted by posh victorian robots? It's gold. It does the whole "This is hilarious" combined with the "This is tense and borderline terrifying" as you crouch in the bushes going "Please, don't let them find me".

I am having quite a good time with it so far. I started as The Aristocrat though and I have found a revolver, but have now expended all 6 shots and have not found more yet. I haven't found a hatchet yet either, but all of this makes me use my brain to try and outsmart the robots and when you are succesful, especially when luring them away from pieces, it can be very satisfying.

As for bugs and such... I haven't run into any as far as I know.

Warning small spoiler.
I have found the best island to find guns, ammo, the hatchet etc as well as regular food is the industrial island (provided the game builds you a good one)
The hatchet is useful because with a stealth attack you get a working gun with ammo off the victim.
If you already have a gun and kill a bot and his gun is not broken if you only want his ammo you can unload his gun and just take the ammo.
As far as I am aware patches in the pipeline are improved sight detection coding (currently you can't be seen in long grass but you can be seen in heavy woods).
Multiplayer is in the pipeline plus the ability to edit your islands and a difficulty adjuster in which you can control the number and release mechanics of the robots.
You can do this already, if you go to the Big Robot Forum the devs have provided interim instructions on how to do it until the feature is added.
