NOTE: this is about simcity 3000

I used cncdraw https://github.com/FunkyFr3sh/cnc-ddraw and put in inside the Apps/ directory.
I updated ddraw.ini to set gameticks to 60 so the mouse speed gets fixed.
I did not used the cnc-ddraw-config.exe as that would make the game crash.
I did use gog's widescreen patched exe and actually dont remember if the game worked without it, but it does work with it

I just set the game to 800x600 as it looks great on my 21 inch monitor and the ui is really not meant for higher resolutions, as the higher the resolution the more spreadout and tiny the ui gets.
I run it on linux and for the cncdraw fix to work I have to give wine this flag "WINEDLLOVERRIDES=ddraw=n,b" or was it b,n well just try them.
well this is how I got it to work properly. oh yeah also include -intro:off when launching the game if the intro somehow causes problems for you, didnt for me but it may for you.
ps. I remember I could go to windowed mode by alt+enter but it stopped working since last week, well I aint gonna bother with that.
pps. cheat menu does not appear through wine for whatever reason, dont have windows to try it out on but it may still work there. well I can fully play the game in a comfortable fashion right now so I dont care.
