Does anyone know how to increase the native resolution for the Mac version of SC2K? It seems stuck at 640x480 (fullscreen mode simply stretches it).

I've read other threads that suggested changing the DosBox conf file paramaters, so I've been trying that. The Mac version is prepackaged with a self-contained version of Boxer (DosBox), and the conf file appears to be in the app package contents itself
SimCity 2000.app > Contents > Resources > SimCity2000.boxer > DOSBox Preferences.conf
However adding paramaters like fullresolution=desktop seems to make no change whatsoever. Anyone know how to fix this?

I'd like to know too, since I'm having the exact same issue. No changes to the DOSBox Preferences.conf file seem to actually do anything.
I took a look at the package contents. Contents > Resources > Configurations > Preflight.conf looks to be the Boxer equivalent of Dosbox.conf.

In this file there is a comment "Note that the list below has been stripped of settings that Boxer no longer uses, which includes all of the [sdl] section." The SDL section is the part of dosbox allowing you to specify the full screen resolution: dosbox.com/wiki/Dosbox.conf#.5Bsdl.5D

Now, Boxer might handle this automatically. I can already play my games in fullscreen, however the game has just been "blown up" to fit my displays resolution. The game engine doesn't actually render at a higher resolution allowing be to see more.

My guess is that the dosbox.conf fullscreen parameters never had any affect on what resolution the game engine render, just the size of the window that the game is shown in.a
