I'm actually surprised that this game directly supports the DS4 without third-party programs. All the buttons and analog sticks work as intended, or at least they do after following GOG's button layout page and messing with the config settings. The right stick move too fast and there's no way to adjust the sensitivity of it all, but otherwise, it works.

Exception for the Vibration.

Apparently, the game does support force feedback, but it's missing files. I had to download the Lavendy file, install a driver, and vibration is enabled for DInput controllers as well as the Xbox 360 controller. But my DS4 isn't compatible with the Lavendy file, so the vibration doesn't work. My control DOES work after using DS4windows and have it recognized as a 360 controller, but in doing so, the game recognizes it as a completely different controller. The mapped configuration didn't match; I'm not sure if that means the right analog stick is useless as I haven't tested it under these conditions, and the GOG page says it isn't bindable for XInput controllers. [UPDATE: Yep, the right analog stick is useless under DS4Windows when set as an X360 controller, and the other options prevent the game to recognize my controller at all]

Vibration aside, at least I can actually play the game properly.

I think DS4 worked because its Dinput compatible controller. Lack of vibration and analog movement is disappointing though.

Oh, the analog movement works. Only the vibration is lacking.
How did you get your DS4 to connect? My game doesn't detect it at all

Vibration works on my Xbox One controller (+Xinput Plus fix)... but only sometimes (actually, I've only noticed it once after 2 hrs of playing).

Hmm, really? If you push slightly left analog stick you can move more slowly? And you have more than 8-directional movement while in 3rd-person mode? Because i don't see this in pc version, unlike ps2..

Simple. I turned on my DS4, my bluetooth dongle picks it up, and that's it.

Of course, I have to map the buttons to each command in the SH4config, but once I did, it works. I'm shocked that it did, as very few games recognize my DS4 without a third-party program or Steam's Configuration Support enabled.

I can't speak for the old PC version experience, but it certainly works on both analogs. The sensitivity of the left stick is fine; not so much for the right stick, and the port would be in a better place if there's sensitivity options.

Of course, because this release is just another quick cash grab from Konami without (among other things) such basic feature as automatic controller setup.

Vibration support also works on DS4 with DS4Windows (in xbox emulation mode), try to swing pipe with full force - it always vibrating ;)
Too bad going the DS4Windows route only makes the second analog stick useless.

DS4Windows makes Windows see the DS4 as an Xinput/Xbox controller, right? Then you need to install the fix (see pcgamingwiki) and (re)map the camera controls in the game options.

So I have to use Xinput Plus AND DS4Windows to fully get both analog control and vibration? Indeed, the option is there.

As someone who prefers the simplest of options, I'm willing to sacrifice vibration just to go straight to SH4Config.
