Please help. I was using a Xbox 360 controller which worked perfectly. Unfortunately its wireless receiver stopped working, which meant I had to change to using the Nintendo Switch Controller. It doesn't work well with this game.

The main issue seems to be that the movement, specifically left and right, also toggles through the inventory. I tried:

1. Reassigning keys directly through the game configuration settings
2. Downloading some sort of xbox 360 controller emulator
3. Creating a steam shortcut to launch Silent Hill 4

None of this worked to fix this problem, please help!



EDIT: Found the issue. Seems like having Steam open hijacks and messes up the controllers. This didn't happen with XBOX 360 controller, but it does with switch pro controller and ps4 controller
