Plokite_Wolf: The game doesn't really like 64-bit systems. Luckily for you, that can be resolved.

1. Patch the game to the latest official version (links to patches). Make sure you get the one for the right version of the game, since vanilla =/= Multiplayer Gold Edition a.k.a. Ultimate Edition =/= Test of Time.

2. If you're using the Multiplayer Gold Edition/Ultimate Edition, you can optionally apply the AI attitude fix to resolve a specific bug that causes all AIs to become Uncooperative towards you no matter what you do.

3. Apply the 64-bit editbox patcher (works for MGE and ToT). If you're using vanilla Civ2, you can currently only use the earlier patcher.

4. Run the game!
