beingtheduke: I do not have the game installed on my C: drive. The updater does not give me any options, it just says: "Game installation not found, please reinstall". Any suggestions, other than installing the game on my C: drive?
Can you tell what version of the installer for Alpha Centauri you are using? The latest version, setup_sid_meiers_alpha_centauri_2.0.2.23.exe, already has the patch incorporated into it. The Universal Update is for those users who had an older version of the game and just need a quick update without re-downloading an entire installer.
